Robust automatic determination of T-Wave boundaries in ECGs

The T-Wave represents the repolarisation phase of the ventricles in the ECG. It is observable in all living humans, and in terms of amplitude, it makes up the second largest contribution to the signal.

The aim of this project is to improve T-Wave fiducial point delineation. Previously proposed techniques often disagree with experts or are limited to only a small set of patient archetypes.

However, current evaluation datasets have arguably been fully exploited already, and new publications struggle to compare their techniques to others. Therefore, a first step in this research project is to provide a new platform to address this. When shortcomings of existing techniques can be formally characterized, the second step will involve creating a new technique that addresses these shortcomings.
