Separation of atrial near and far field components in electrograms during atrial tachycardia

  • During atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter, the patterns of wave propagation are still under debate. Signals acquired at the surface of the tissue are composed of local and atrial far field components. However, only the local component of the bipolar electrogram characterizes the underlying tissue and excitation propagation. The aim of this work is to study the separation of local and atrial far field components of the bipolar electrogram considering various simulated propagation patterns.
