Implementation and validation of left ventricular flow components
In this work, the simulated blood flow components in the left ventricle will be analyzed and compared to literature values. In this way a partial validation of the fluid dynamics solver is performed. Therefore, in the first step, an algorithm that performs the separation between different flow components has to be implemented in the existing solver.
After performing the fluid simulations, the flow components will be visualized in the geometry and analyzed statistically. A comparison to literature values will evaluate the fluid dynamics solver results. The validation of healthy heart flow components will be completed by the analysis of a simulated mitral valve regurgitation, subsequently.
