New research assistant at IBT

Since April 1st, 2021 Dr. Marie Houillon is new research assistant in the computational cardiac modeling group at IBT.

We would like to welcome Dr. Marie Houillon as a research assistant at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering as of April 1st, 2021. She will be part of the computational cardiac modeling group as a software engineer, within the European MICROCARD research project which aims at building software that can simulate cardiac electrophysiology using whole-heart models with sub-cellular resolution on future exascale supercomputers.
Marie Houillon obtained her PhD degree in applied mathematics from the University of Strasbourg in 2020.  Her work was focused on the development of scalable numerical methods for partial differential equations for electromagnetics and their implementation using HPC (High Performance Computing) technologies.
