IBT at conferences in Osaka and Kyoto
IBT has strengthened German-Japanese research cooperation during a recent trip to Japan. The institute visited two important events at the end of October and the beginning of November.
First, IBT attended the HeKKSaGOn Presidents' Conference in Osaka on October 29 and 30. Within this network of leading German and Japanese universities (Heidelberg, Kyoto, KIT, Sendai, Göttingen, and Osaka), the exchange was used to discuss the progress of current projects and to lay the foundation for future joint research collaborations.
During the exchange, a cross-border research project was refined. The collaboration combines the expertise of IBT with Kyoto University and the University of Göttingen in the fields of Computational Heart Modeling, AI-based ECG Analysis, and Sensing Technology.
This was followed by the BRIDGE Symposium at Kyoto University from November 02 to 03, organized by Kana Eguchi. The event focused on innovative forms of collaboration that bridge industry and academia and featured cutting-edge research by early-career researchers from Europe and Asia in medical and information sciences. All IBT participants took the opportunity to present their current research findings.
