The Computing in Cardiology Conference 2020 was organized in a hybrid format to bring together both onsite and remote participants from all over the world during the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization committee did a fabulous job at pioneering in planning and realizing the hybrid conference format. Eight delegates from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBT) chose to participate onsite in Rimini, Italy, from September 13th to 16th. With seven contributions to poster and oral sessions as well as commitments as chairman, IBT proved to be amongst the leaders in the field of computational cardiology. Special honors belong to Tobias Gerach and Jorge Sánchez who were awarded semi-finalist and finalist of this year’s Young Investigator Award competition.
