Beatriz Cruzeiro attended the LOEWE-ADMIT Summer School, held from 28 September to 2 October 2026 at Rauischholzhausen Castle near Marburg, Germany. Organised by the LOEWE-ADMIT research cluster and hosted by Justus Liebig University Giessen, the event was funded through the Hessian LOEWE research excellence programme.
The summer school brought together early-career researchers, PhD students, and experienced scientists for an intensive programme focused on advanced topics in medical physics. Participants benefited from lectures delivered by leading experts from across Germany, complemented by interactive sessions, hands-on activities, and group discussions.
Key topics included imaging techniques, dosimetry, detector technologies, helium beam radiotherapy, and the application of artificial intelligence in research and science. The programme provided a valuable opportunity to deepen technical knowledge while exploring emerging developments across multiple areas of medical physics.
The small group format and residential setting of Rauischholzhausen Castle encouraged close interaction between participants and speakers. Beyond the formal sessions, the summer school fostered open discussion of research challenges, the exchange of ideas, and networking with colleagues from a wide range of institutions and scientific backgrounds.
Overall, the experience was highly rewarding for Beatriz Cruzeiro, broadening her scientific perspective and providing valuable inspiration for her ongoing research and professional development.
