The Institute of Biomedical Engineering welcomes Dr Sachin Gunda as a research assistant.  He will be part of the computational cardiac modeling group as a post doctoral researcher  starting on November 7th, 2025, within the KICK-AF research project. This project aims at modeling and simulation of cardiac pulsed field ablation.

Sachin Gunda obtained his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras in 2025. His work was focused on development of constitutive models and numerical methods to study mechanical behavior of soft porous tissues.
